yesyes, it's time to give this blog a lil' revamp and reviving since O lvls are over!!!
yeehaw~ :D
as promised, rewarded myself to a whole day retreat with God today!
to me, retreat with God doesn't mean you have to pray, worship or go to some soliditary place in order to meet God. most importantly, it's that heart desire to dwell in His presence. (:
this is the happiest day of my life after walking with God for close to four years.
i just have to share this joy in me, can't contain it.
don't get me wrong, it's not like i've never been happy before but today changed my perspective about life and about being happy. -true happiness.
well, though many a times we say that happiness is something that we fight for in order to achieve or happiness comes from the fruits of our labour. true enough but only to a certain extent. ever have that feeling of being among a group of friends yet felt so left out? the feeling of accomplishing much yet still feeling empty inside? i believe that's not a feeling that only some might have or have before because we're afterall only human. that's maybe because sometimes we tend to do life, work, ministry or even relate with others without God.
perhaps sometimes we may complain about the heavy workload, piles of homework to complete, frustrating relational problems that drives you up the wall, problems in ministry or even asking why is it taking so long for that friend to say yes to Jesus? isn't all these the results of us not completely trusting in Him in whatever we do?
i've learnt.
status quo isn't about everything.
you maybe a CL, UL, SDL, DL or even a pastor but once you miss the point of what serving God is really about, you miss everything. it's not about how much we do for God, but rather, what is our attitude towards doing the things of God. nono, definitely not trying to put down the leaders but i believe with all my heart that even if you're not a leader or not a leader as yet, God can still do amazing things thru' you! ^^ it's all in God's perfect timing. (:
yup, happiness can simply come from that very moment when your friend decide to receive Jesus as his/her personal Saviour, from spending time with your family over dinner or even listening to God speak while you're resting/(slacking). hahas. and that's what happened today. everything was very very simple and normal yet i experienced what true happiness and joy really means in God dictionary. though at times we may become skeptical about being joyful, especially when things don't turn out right. but lil' did we know that actually, it's thru' those times when we choose to take joy in troubled circumstances that true joy comes to reside in our hearts. -the joy of the Lord is our strength! :D
i am definitely renewed spiritually and mentally!
physically... erm, by end of this week! woo~
